Summer Launch Food Truck Party
Hi, just a little humble brag here. Our first Food Truck party of the season is also the kick-off for summer (and this very issue of The Coast). Twenty-plus food vendors, a craft beer balcony, DJs and a couple thousand of your BFFs. Wear comfortable shoes, bring patience.

Hot Dog Feast Friday
With the aim of raising bones for local dog rescues, various restaurants in downtown Dartmouth and cooking the summeriest of summer foods and giving proceeds to the furry cause. Poutine dog, donair dog—these ain’t your classic ketchup and mustard deals.

Beer Bus Saturdays
Your friendly neighbourhood DDs at Taste Halifax are happy to welcome you aboard the Beer Bus. On Saturdays from 12 to 3pm (May through October), this craft loving cruiser takes people on a thirst quenching tour of the city, stopping at four breweries/brew pubs so passengers can wet their whistles. The lineup of visits changes depending on the trip.

Shubie Taco Fest
Twitter detective @HalifaxRetales teams up with Lemon Dogs Lemonade—who runs Shubie Park’s canteen—for this one. The taco-loving squad bring together a whole slew of vendors who are also passionate about the hand-held Mexican dish and invite you to dig in. THIS EVENT IS CANCELLED
Diner en Blanc
This super-secret fancy-pants international community picnic didn’t happen last summer, but it’s back. Conceived in France 30ish years ago, Diner en Blanc is a chic mass picnic, meant to celebrate public spaces, where you dress in all white, bring your own food and are ushered to a mystery location to eat with hundreds of other Haligonians. North Shore Craft Brew Expo
The Stanfields and Jake Duggan storm the stage while you swill suds from Tatamagouche Brewing Company, Malagash Cidery, North Brewing Company, Nine Locks Brewing Company and Uncle Leo’s Brewery, among others. A perfect excuse for beer lovers to hit the road and head to Tatamagouche this summer.
