As we reported last week, Ashley McKenzie‘s short film Rhonda’s Party is in competition on the CBC show Short Film Face-Off, now shown nationally. On the season’s first episode aired Saturday night, Rhonda’s Party was chosen to go on to the final, where it will compete against two other films, still to be named. The public will be able to vote for the winning film, whose filmmakers will be given $50,000 in cash and equipment rentals towards their next production.
