- Rick Miller and MacHomer
Today Neptune Theatre announced their 2010-11 season—it’s a pretty trad line-up—no surprises—for those who love the classics. Will S. gets top billing, with Romeo and Juliet, plus adaptations West Side Story and MacHomer (50 Simpsons characters meet Shakespeare, funnelled through one man), performed by Rick Miller, who’s also starring in Bigger Than Jesus,, opening April 6.
Though I always associate fear and flying monkeys with Easter, The Wizard of Oz is this year’s Christmas performance. Also on the playbill: Morris Panych’s 7 Stories; Noel Coward’s Blithe Spirit and The Beauty Queen of Leenane, from Irish playwright Martin McDonagh.
In the Studio, men will be getting in touch with their feelings with Don Hannah’s Fathers and Sons and Michael Melski’s The Fly Fisher’s Companion.
