The Atlantic Filmmaker's Co-operative's FILM 5 program for 2011-2012 is now open to submissions.
AFCOOP is looking for emerging Nova Scotia filmmakers to apply to the program. FILM 5 is a professional development program for writers, directors and producers culminating in the opportunity to produce a five-minute short film.
Getting into the program is competitive. You need to have had some experience making films, but not so much that the opportunity offered wouldn't provide much in the way of education. But if you do get in and your film idea becomes one of the few chosen to receive funding and you shoot it and cut it in time, there's a good chance your film could get into the shorts program at the Atlantic Film Festival next year. There are often a number of FILM 5 entries every year at AFF.
The deadline for applications is Monday Oct. 10, 5pm. For more information or to download an application, visit
