Hey everyone at the gas stations who like to hang out and puff away near the doorway: Guess what? There’s a new law about smoking. Please read and heed it. But here’s something else: It’s illegal to smoke less than 90m from a doorway. I don’t want to inhale your disgusting smoke when I go to pay for my gas. You people have smoked away all your brains, I think.

I would suggest YOU read it, because nowhere in the 4 corners of that paper does it say anything about 90m…or even 9m.
I would also encourage you to check more deeply into the new HRM smoking bylaws (if you have the where-with-all) and you will find that it applies to municipal property only. That means of people want to smoke at the grocery store, the mall, the gas station etc they can certainly do so 🙂
And I have yet to see anyone smoking near the entrance to a gas station (at least the places I’ve gone to get gas, so I suspect you’re just kinda making this whole thing up anyway.
Lol! when the police themselves state that they would not enforce this law ; which was a sever waste of taxpayer and police resources BTW, then I won’t follow this stupid law. Go fuck yourself!
I second the first commenter. Outside of a gas station is private property so not at all against the law
