How long is the city going to allow that pile of “personal belongs” to be wrapped up outside the Library.  It’s been there long enough that who ever owns it should be soon able to have squatters rights.  Summer will so be here and one of the city’s nicest buildings, in one of it’s most popular areas has a pile of garbage sitting in front of it. —Sick City-goer

  1. The library is a public space that welcomes everybody. That includes people who are experiencing housing insecurity. The “pile of garbage” outside of the library belongs to a patron who currently does not have a home in which to keep their belongings. Have some basic human compassion and redirect your outrage to target the rampant economic disparity in Halifax, not the people who suffer from it. – Libraries Are For Everyone
