Cocoa and Honey’s Heather Oliveira calls these babies Sea Turtles, but you might call them little clusters of heaven on earth. Oliveira’s been making organic, fair-trade small-batch chocolates, candied nuts and sauces in Halifax for two years, using local ingredients as much as she can and using preservatives absolutely never.
These dark-chocolate-dipped, caramel-dunked, toasted pecans (with a sprinkle of sea salt) are available exclusively at this Saturday’s Halifax Crafters Pop-Up Market, or at the Historic Farmers’ Market (1496 Lower Water Street) Saturdays from 7am-1pm. You can also find a plethora of Cocoa and Honey goodies at P’lovers (1443 South Park Street) and the newly renoed Local Source (now at 2530 Agricola Street).
