For the past six years, Chantal Kreviazuk took a break from her role as one of Canada’s foremost singer-songwriters. Instead, she was busy penning hits for the likes of Drake and Carrie Underwood—all while raising her three sons and getting lost in the joys of motherhood that she says bring new authenticity into her life.
This week, Kreviazuk announces her return with an upcoming album, Hard Sail, and a slew of cross-country tour dates, including a stop in Halifax this November.
With multiple JUNO nods and a discography dating back to the mid-nineties, chances are you’ve hummed along to Kreviazuk’s airy, folk-pop melodies on the radio. With Hard Sail hitting shelves June 17, you’re sure to get re-acquainted with Kreviazuk’s emotive voice and personal lyrics.
Her Halifax show, November 21 at Dalhousie’s Rebecca Cohn auditorium, promises to be the perfect reunion for Kreviazuk and her fans- and the chance for you to get carried away on her rolling waves of heartfelt sound.
Tickets are $44.25 and include a digital download of the album. They go on sale June 10 at 12pm and are available by phone at (902) 494-3820 and online here.
