Picnicface’s Evany Rosen has begun a new game during the troupe’s Sunday shows in which she employs the bartender’s iPhone to help select a drink that she consumes in one swoop onstage. It’s on special for the remainder of the night. Last week was The Lunch Box—“Surprisingly delicious!” Rosen announced to a skeptical crowd—which is half orange juice, half light beer and a shot of amaretto. 5680 Spring Garden Road, 421-5653
The Bitter End
For inventive, awesomely named drinking options it’s hard to beat this martini institution. In honour of our hometown Rainmen we suggest the Thunderclap, a three-point concoction of gin, whiskey and brandy. Don’t challenge anyone to a game of Horse after a couple of these. 1572 Argyle Street, 425-3039
Club 1668
One of the most popular drink-in-drinks—whether it’s for the energy or the flavour—is the Jägerbomb, a shot of sweet Jägermeister liqueur dropped into a glass of even sweeter Red Bull. Raise a few at the All-Star Weekend afterparty at Club 1668, with music by Evolution Sound. 1668 Lower Water Street, 209-4590

Forget Club 1668’s Jagerbombs! The Rev-Bomb, the official drink of the T-Room, puts it to shame. This Halifax creation serves up two-points of alcoholic awesomeness, by slam-dunking a shot of Jager into a basket of Rev (or pint glass). Check out the wiki:

hahah awesome. and true. and delicious. and awesome. and true.
Wait wait! A jagerbomb isn t even booze inside booze like the theme of the article suggests. And what Halifax bar doesn’t serve jagerbombs? Club 1668 creativity fail
Ha ha, Club 1668 loses. I mean, a fratboy drink is the first thing that comes to mind?
Boilermakers all the way – a shot of whisky dropped in a glass of beer.
Its so common place, but I have yet to drink a bomb shot. Rev, Jager, etc. Haven’t had the urge to EVER … until now. lol!
I’ll second boilermakers. I remember trying to order one at The Attic and the bartender refused to drop the shot in for me. Once I did — well — that’s about the last thing I remember.
