What’s wrong?
No “stop” hand at Cunard crosswalk.

Who’s responsible?
Ken Reashor, god of traffic, 490-6637.

REMARKS
Should you cross? Should you stop? Should you proceed with caution? Who can tell? The hand on the crosswalk light at the intersection of Cunard and North Park streets won’t be of any help, since it doesn’t flash or light up. Reashor is out of the office until next week. In the meanwhile, you have only the little glowing man to guide you, so adjust your street-crossing speed accordingly.

  1. Oh Sarah, now I understand the concept might be too much for you but if the red light is burnt out then you might as well assume you have 10 seconds of safe crossing time once the little white man goes out, as thats the minimum time for flashing red hands at Halifax crosswalks.

And this isn’t Ken Reashor’s problem, call public works and report it as a non-functioning traffic light. They’ll send out a truck and repair it long before Ken gets back to his office.

  2. Yea that males sence – pretty commen to basically assume if the white dude ain’t there – then that red guys on . Ummm I think maybe it was for the people that didn’t know that ??? Good thing its not on pleasant by the NS or they’d really be a bunch of confused people !!!
