As of February 1, Splurge is now in the former Dio Mio location at 1480 Brenton Street (420-9530). Owner Sarah deWolf says there was a couple reasons for the move: the location was nearby and it’s twice the size of their spot in Park Lane, allowing for room to grow her stock. Plus, “traffic was down and rent was going up,” she says of her former location at the mall, and she also wanted to be free of restrictions to do with what kinds of products she could offer and her opening hours. Plus, her customers advised her to move. “I’m a boutique store, I should be on the street,” is what they told deWolf. “I took their advice.”
