- The Right Honourable Rich Aucoin will play a song or two on Friday
This Friday at 7pm at the Music Room (Tickets are $35, which includes CD. For tickets/info please call 489-9872 or email info@zuppatheatre.com), Zuppa Theatre Co. are throwing a big party to release their Poor Boy CD into the world. “The CD, The Music Room Sessions, is a recording of the music from our last show, Poor Boy. There are 16 songs in all, written by either David Christensen or Jason MacIsaac. Performing the music is the cast of Poor Boy: Stewart Legere, Claire Gallant, Kathryn McCormack, Ben Stone and (myself), as well as Jason and David,” says Susan Leblanc-Crawford, Co-Artistic Director, Zuppa Theatre Co. “It is all really beautiful music.”
At the Music Room, some of Halifax’s brightest perform the songs, and the evening doesn’t just end at music. “Gypsophilia, Rich Aucoin, Grassmarket, Ryan MacGrath, Ruth Minnikin, The Heavy Blinkers, The Prospectors’ Union, Jen Clarke—-and the event is hosted by Picnicface‘s Brian MacQuarrie,” says Leblanc-Crawford. “There will be a bar and a really great silent auction with a chance to bid on dinner with Megan Leslie at the Brooklyn Warehouse. Last but not least, we Zuppas will be performing songs from the CD!”
If you can’t make it to the fundraising event, the CD will be available via www.zuppatheatre.com.
