I’m sorry but the Toothy Moose is absolutely the worst bar in Halifax. I’m fine with the club scene doing it’s thing, but it is unacceptable that they would book unknowing bands into that environment. Walking in to see Baltimore’s Thrushes, I was appalled to see a large group in the middle of a pub crawl. They were belligerent to the band when they weren’t talking over them. After the set the crawlers often bumped and got in the way of an obviously exasperated Thrushes trying to clear their gear. It was just unbelievably inconsiderate for a kickass band that Halifax normally wouldn’t get to see.
But Thrushes took it in stride. They joked that the provocative dancing going on in front of the stage totally normal for a Thrushes gig. I caught up with them in better moods after their gear was put away (note: I love Baltimore, so that kind of takes over this interview.)

Mike, you are AWESOME. thank you so much for the interview, and for your support. while not wanting to make any disparaging comments of my own, I will only say that reading these blogs made me laugh out loud and nod my poor tired head.
