“The store is 20 years old and I hadn’t done anything to it,” says John Ingram, owner for John David Shoes located in the Park Lane Mall (422-8466). Renovations have kept the store closed for a little while, with Ingram moving stock up to the third floor of Park Lane in a temporary location. By the time you read this, the store will be back open again in its usual Park Lane locale. “It opened in 1989. I’m bringing it up to 2009,” says Ingram. “It’s going to look really sharp and chic. And the entire fall 2009 stock is in.”

I was there on Saturday, and the store still wasn’t open. The stock was still being sold out of the third floor space.
