It’s still snowing. Just look outside. It’s falling right now. Snow on top of snow on top of ice on top of snow on top of our hearts.

The roads are slippery causing all sorts of accidents. This is the world we live in now.

Halifax saw more than double the average amount of snow in February.

It’s also been cold out. So very cold. The mean temperature was twice as cold as the historical normal. The lowest temperature recorded in February was –22 C.

The city has brought in extra equipment to try and chisel away the disgusting shield of ice packed so firmly around us.

It’s all been hard on the ducks, too.

Because winter has to end eventually, March will be “a little gentler” than February.

More flurries will potentially fall Thursday, and then Sunday and every three days after that until the curse is lifted.
