We still adore Martha Stewart, and her icy, self-righteous, souffle-rising. We’re still not over the disappointment from when she cancelled out of the pumpkin race in Windsor, or forgiven Cybill Shepherd’s yelly, made-for-TV skewering. So when we heard that one of our fave Halifax designers was making an appearance on The Martha Stewart Show, there was an internal squeal of glee that would have filled a canister of Martha’s homemade heart-shaped soaps.
Michelle SaintOnge, who we profiled a few months ago during Atlantic Fashion Week, creates darling silkscreened handbags, portraits and wall art. She’ll be doing a hands-on demo, live at Martha’s worktable on Wednesday, February 11 (1pm, CBC). Recently SaintOnge started a blog, printcutsew.com, that does a fantastic job of breaking down the silkscreening process for the ambitious home DIYer.
I’ll be chatting with SaintOnge once she returns from the show, in hopes that some of that secondhand Martha magic will rub off.

I am wondering where I can get more templates for animal images I can use. Bulldogs and cats aren’t my thing.
You can usually find some really neat ones on your microsoft word clip art set… especially if you pull some from online… they are FREE if you have WORD…. also… you can go to photobucket.com and see tons of pictures/art that you could use…
