Denton, Texas’ Wax Museums’ self-titled record deals with a lot of
the most pressing issues of the day: dogs, dishes, girls, ligaments.
Released on Atlanta’s Douchemaster Records, none of the album’s 14
tracks clock in at more than two minutes, which is refreshing. Pretty
sweet guitar tone too, for people who dig that sort of shit. Their
stand-out single, “Safety in Numbers,” is tied with Beyoncé’s
“Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)” as my A-1 pump-up jam for the
winter: They’re both perfect for jumping around and practicing your
tumbling routine. Specializing in straight-shooting Ramones-style punk,
Wax Museums are very easy to like.

flossin' off on a natural charge bon voyage
