Yea, I’m easily amused, but here’s an audio clip from last night’s council meeting. You’ll hear Tim Outhit complaining that council shouldn’t be spending so much time on this issue, this is what council gets criticized for, etc. Listen close and you’ll hear Gloria McCluskey responding with “then sit down!” and so forth.
Adding, I think this is a cheap shot all the way around. Council is there to deal with the entire city governance, including boring and mundane matters. If seemingly silly issues like cats or (in this case) rose bushes come up, well, you oughtta sit through a “planning strategy” snooze fest like I do each week. All of it is part of their job.
