From now until the end of December, with every purchase at Little Mysteries Books (1663 Barrington Street, 423-7106) the total amount spent will be tallied and put on a ballot with your name. All the ballots will be collected and at the beginning of January one will be chosen, the winner will get back the total amount of their purchase, cash in hand. “That should help pay some Visa bills,” says co-owner Vanessa Smith. And what’s hot these days at Little Mysteries? “Jewellery is very popular this year, our Celtic, stone and crystal work,” she says. “And books, of course, are always a good gift.”
