Members of Comeback Kid are scattered across North America, but that hasn’t stopped them from releasing a new album (Symptoms + Cures) or touring around the world from August to Christmas. “The band’s based out of Winnipeg,” explains frontman Andrew Neufeld. “I most of the time live in Toronto, a couple of the guys live in Winnipeg”—and there are two Americans on the roster. “We actually never practise,” laughs Neufeld. “But there’s no better practise than playing a live show. You kind of get in that groove easily when you’re playing every night.” The hardcore punk band’s headlining this tour, which Neufeld says allows he and bandmates Jeremy Hiebert, Casey Hjelmberg, Matt Keil and Kyle Profeta to sound check for as loud a show as possible. “We’re gonna fucking have an awesome time, it’s gonna be a wild show.”
