Popular sushi restaurant moves from Spring Garden to Granville
Shoptalk mistakenly indicated last week in the story about the Turkish Delight expansion that Sushi Shige was gone and not to return. It turns out we missed the facts of the case, and we’re not too big to admit when we were wrong. Sushi Shige, owned and operated by Aya Otara and Shige Fukuama will be the newest tenant of 1532 Granville Street near the corner of Salter—depending on the speed of renovations—in late October/early November.

Oh thank Gawd! I’m get down from Antigonish about once a month and I ALWAYS got to Shige. The food is great and I’m always made to feel so welcome. I feel like Norm!
The last time I was in Halifax, Shige was closed and I feared for the worst.
But Yay they’re reopening.
They are the best sushi that Halifax has to offer!
Don’t worry they would not leave us high and dry, haha. I love the Shige! So excited for it to re-open. They have the best sushi in Canada and especially Halifax! The other places are good for now but I cannot wait until I can get my spicy salmon roll!!! 🙂
