I was very disturbed to hear that a report by NBC News named cigarette butts as the single greatest source of ocean pollution—surpassing plastic straws. PLEASE, SMOKERS, DISPOSE OF THESE DISGUSTING THINGS PROPERLY!!!!!

  1. I tried to find out how much HRM taxpayers spent on the failed Butt Stop receptacles. Since it wasn’t enforced, it was doomed to fail from the start. Money wasted on this could have better used for working with businesses, landlords etc and other places where people gather to educate/curtail butt tossing.
