Opening Monday, February 7 is Urban Home (5689 Cunard Street, 463-1400) in the condo development Armory Villa at the corner of Cunard and Agricola, just opposite the Halifax Commons. It offers bedroom, dining and living room furniture, “contemporary and functional at a reasonable price,” says co-owner Jim Kennedy. The product available will be Canadian-made, with custom work and bedding also offered from local designers and furniture makers, with suppliers chosen carefully to guarantee that if customers are looking for items not on the floor it can be delivered to their door within a week. Come by in the first two weeks of opening and you’ll receive 25 percent off your store purchases.
