Pipa gets a new chef

Brazilian cuisine eatery shakes things up

“We have hired a new chef, Bryan Corkery, former chef of Fox Harbour and The Press Gang,” announces Pipa (1685 Argyle Street, 407-7472) co-owner Victoria Gaspar. She says the resto will continue to offer traditional Portuguese and Brazilian dishes, but plans are coming together for a “weekly churrasco night---meat extravaganza!” and other theme nights. “We start up our $30-3 course menu on Jan 24 and plan on continuing our bossanova Thursdays and Flamenco Saturdays.”
