I thought” your information in “Hidden racism” (Jan. 29, Lowedown) was well-researched and well-written. You brought things to people’s attention that we may not have realized, especially locked-up black hair products in Shoppers Drug Mart. I can understand where Shoppers is coming from.
If something is getting stolen 10 times more than other things, then common sense says to lock it up or put it behind the counter. I agree that there are lots of things in Halifax that still need to be dealt with when it comes to racism.
I really thought your article was an eye-opener and I would really like to see a follow-up to it.
