1. Citadel Hill
Climb up Citadel Hill on the side facing North Park and Cogswell Streets, lay a blanket down on the grass and watch as the sun sets over the Halifax Common. 5425 Sackville Street
2. Susies Lake
Tucked behind Bayers Lake is a piece of paradise. The Susies Lake hiking trail leads to a spectacular look off which offers an unobstructed view of the setting sun. Just be sure to keep your bearings with a map, and bring a flashlight for the hike back. Off Chain Lake Drive, behind Kent
3. The High Head
Located in Prospect, this hiking trail faces out over a dozen small islands, a coastline made up of granite outcrops, and out to the ocean as far as the eye can see. 4. Polly's Cove
