Braid of honour

Whether your hair is pulled back or let loose, you can channel your inner bohemian by working sweet, summery braids into your wedding ’do.

Sweep your sweetie off their feet by showing the softer side of the traditional updo. Trish Mannette (Jonathan Neil Salon, [email protected]) incorporated a braid into this relaxed-but-elegant tousled look for added softness. We bet this is the kind of ’do that only gets better as the night goes on. (Hair pin courtesy of Felicity Bridal, felicitybridal.ca; make-up by Kelly McGillivray, jonathanneilsalon.com.)

Talk about a midsummer night’s dream. If you’d rather have your locks flowing free, Trish suggests adding little details (like a braid) to a simple look to “add texture and intricacy to the design.” The result: nothing but romance.
