Normally we don't post calls from festivals outside of the city, but for some reason, the Toronto-based Zombie Short Film Festival seems like it should have originated in Halifax. For those of you with a brain blasting with undead film ideas (there seem to be a lot of you), the rules are straightforward: it must be short (max. 20 minutes) and there must be zombies in it. The deadline is October 1; if you have questions check out zombieshortfilmfestival.blogspot.com. And if you're looking for easygoing extras, the Halifax zombie walk is August 15, 1pm starting at Camphill Cemetery (just remember that the biggest rules of zombie walk are don't touch people's property if you are all bloody or brain-leaky, and leave the kids alone).
