This 1949 flick by Ida Lupino is the fourth in a series celebrating female directors. Following a young dancer grappling with the aftermath of a polio attack, the film is screened in the MacAloney Room and Lupino is billed by event organizers as "the most important and influential female director of the late 1940s and early ’50s."
