Amid the media churn around so many other bands from the west coast, Young and Sexy are largely overlooked in the rest of the country. It's high time---the band's been around 10 years and this is their fourth album---this be corrected. The Arc will win over those with only a vague notion of the band---anyone who appreciates imaginative and image-laden lyrics (care of Paul Pittman, vocals/guitar), male and female vocals (Lucy Brain) trading off and harmonizing, plus a big band sound (André Lagacé, guitar, Alex Brain, drums and Brent McDonald, bass) both powerful and nuanced. And only two years after Panic When You Find It!
