Re: “Generation Y entitlement

Working for free in today's economy are you nuts. Someone pulled that scam on me once back when I was young (Gen X), result no permanent job and being blamed for a mistake they made and poor computer equipment that kept crashing all the time. If your company can not afford to hire anyone then your company is in trouble and should file for bankruptcy. The only ones that can work free internships are rich kids not a regular student trying to survive in the real world. You say you worked fro free, did you live at home at the time, did you have a student loan, how did you survive without any money. Certain things you did not mention.

Re: “Unbearable

Did his restaurant even open?? I walked past it once and saw no one inside, I thought it was still getting ready to open. Why was this story even printed, does he have friends at the paper. I did not even know who he was until this article came out. Sounds like sour grapes to me. Nobody liked my pretentious food so I am leaving town.

Re: “Civility and Consideration

tommyjules902 You may want to be careful in regards to your own hearing, I am saying this out of concern not trying to lecture you. I have a friend who sells hearing aids she is seeing more young people in their late 20s and early 30s coming in for them. The volume levels must have changed in sound systems? I think Ipods are louder then walkmans were back in the day? Can anyone compare the tech to confirm. I have not seen a walkman in years.

Re: “Civility and Consideration

lysssss I simply asked a question in regards to civility and consideration. I realize that certain factors may affect a persons social skills. However, I had social factors around me that could have made me inconsiderate of others also, but I was taught manners growing up and I was simply wondering what happened to that practice. I believe in the practice of mutual respect and consideration for each.
Also you should not assume people in Spryfield do not like me. You do not know me.
I think the conversation has jumped the shark. From buses to cars, how did that happen?

Re: “Civility and Consideration

avast0 I tried asking the bus driver to do something, he just shrugged and did nothing. After this person got off the bus, I asked the driver why he did nothing, his reply "that behavior is to be expected on the 20". I called the bus the "circus" because it is full of clowns. Hey, you have got to laugh at a situation that has no solution. Just thought I would see what others thought and make sure I was not crazy in asking this question.
Nice to see others get what I mean by the lack of civility on the bus and in society in general.

Re: “North of 60

Some of us who had numerous operations and have to wait at 6 am for a bus in -17 wind chill need a jacket like this one. I did not buy mine for a fashion statement, so please do not dump all Canada Goose jacket owners into the same category as the fashion driven owners.

Re: “I hope you go deaf

I Have asked very nicely many times for individuals to turn down their music. Result, swearing at me or telling me they have a right to play thier music any way they want. Some even play thier ipods with a speaker system instead of using headphones. Consideration for others seems to be a lost art in todays society.
