White Rabbit Multimedia Festival

Head to Upper Economy this weekend for outdoor art installations and a camping good time.

Take a trip down the rabbit hole this Saturday to see what 12 artists have been cooking up all week in Upper Economy. It's the second year that the White Rabbit Festival has run, where artist Tom Young invites other artists to create installations on his land for the week leading up to Saturday's unveiling. "There are about 65 acres or so out here, so everybody just picks a different nook in the woods, or down by the beach by the Bay of Fundy," says organizer Louise Hanavan. "People just spend the time exploring those spaces and creating something that responds to the space." Starting at 3pm Saturday, the public can explore Young's property to view the works, while also taking in live music by Baby Eagle, Cousins, Duzheknew and Fresia & The Offsprings. Don't worry about driving back to the city that night, either: You can set up a tent on the land, bring some food for the night and hike on out the next morning.
