Even in the midst of a not-so-white winter the Wearable Art Show continues to snowball, picking up speed and growing pretty consistently. The 22nd annual bright spot on the art community's calendar heads back to the Halifax Forum for a second consecutive year, embracing the new space and giving NSCAD's most fashionable the centre stage (or, in this case centre runway). Nicole Dnistrianskyj is the student organizing this year's WAS, and one of 23 designers who'll showcase their work on Saturday evening. "It is still expanding and while the work is changing our end goal is the same: to give our proceeds to the Aids Coalition of Nova Scotia," says Dnistrianskyj, who adds that this year students welcome some special guests to the runway too. Team Possibles, a group of young adults with Down syndrome, will debut their line of work as well. Dnistrianskyj's still working away on her line, inspired by our feathered friends. "As an artist I'm always frustrated by things having been done before so I'm constantly searching for something that hasn't been done," she says. "Yes, bird dresses have been done---to death I might add---but I wanted to challenge myself."

Sat Mar 10, Halifax Forum Multi-Purpose Room,2901 Windsor Street, 6:30pm, $20/$15, advanced tickets at Venus Envy, Seeds Gallery and the NSCAD Art Supply Store
