Just when you thought the memory of the Ramones has been sold and spit upon enough, some other marketing genius finds a new way to disgrace it. This collection of pseudo and real punk vocalists with kids screaming along behind them to the choruses of Ramones songs is a travesty. The arrangements are close enough , but the idea of making the band child-friendly is ludicrous. The light at the end of the tunnel is that a portion of the proceeds goes to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. If anyone wants to introduce a toddler to the Ramones, put on Rocket to Russia and use some discretion. Maybe skip over “We’re a Happy Family.”
