Re: “Work

Its all about the profits.
The foreign workers wages are partially paid by our generous government, added the temporary workers will not quit after a few pay cheques. Hiring & training new workers even in the lowest skilled jobs co$t employers.
Same reason ski resorts (out west) hire Australians, New Zealanders and British workers. They are to far from home to drag up & split the scene.

At what point does one forget they to were once a kid? A adult temper tantrum over children brings understanding and enlightment to their level of development.

Re: “Ten great things about that Black Sabbath show

Excellent review! Agreed on all but you forgot to give major props to the opening band Reignwolf. Jordan Cook's solo 'Electric Bug' was amazing, that cool cat is part Sam Roberts, Jimmy Hendrix and Matt Mays all in one! Before the show I commented to my GF how big bands bring unknown or up and coming bands to open, trust me Jordan Cook is a talent that deserves & earned his chops playing the dingy bar circuit in Saskatoon. The list of metal bands I have seen live is extensive starting with Iron Maiden & Twisted Sister - Powerslave Tour 84'... Full circle to the start of metal and seeing Tony Iommi, Ozzy & Black Sabbath was the icing on the cake! Stellar show beyond all expectations!!!

Re: “Black Sabbath’s lucky 13

Black Sabbath has been playing longer than most of the fans attending the concert tonight are in age! To return with their new Lp and have it rated highest yet on the charts is, to quote Jeff Spicolli 'Awesome, totally awesome!' \m/ Looking forward to the show, a must see and a first for Ozzy on my list of metal concerts attended sense 84'.

Re: “Saying farewell to Nova Scotia for a reason

'When the last tree is cut and river poisoned only then will you realize you cannot eat money' ~ Tecumseh
The rocky mountains and rolling foothills of Alberta are my church and Zen. The inner peace and happiness those places bring my soul are slowly being replaced with clear cuts and oil leases. I weep with my ancestors each visit as a bit more of the wilderness out west disappears... forever.
Agreed its harder to carve out a living here in NS, yet careful what you wish for as profit has a cost.
