Transformers: War for Cybertron (Activision)

Microsoft Windows, Playstation 3, Xbox 360

Video games which coincide with movies are notoriously awful; luckily Transformers: War for Cybertron has nothing to do with Michael Bay’s take on the long-running, toy-selling series. In Cybertron, you play as either the good guys (Autobots) or the baddies (Decepticons). The campaign is long and varied enough to keep you hooked for about 15 hours. Missions are linear, but the environments and goals change enough to prevent the experience from getting stale. The multiplayer is good, but could be great if there were more people playing. There is a lot of fan service present throughout--- Peter Cullen voices Optimus Prime and I personally got chills hearing my old hero on screen again. There’s lots of quality transformers love here, and if you are a fan of the series at all, it’s worthwhile to roll out and pick it up.
