Trailer Park Boys: Don’t Legalize It

Wake and bake (and watch)

The Boys return for round three of the same, at first in splinters but eventually brought together by petty crime and Ottawa, of all places. Julian (John Paul Tremblay) is selling urine stolen from the military to drug parolees in Montreal; Bubbles (Mike Smith) is living under J-Roc’s (Jonathan Torrens) porch and delivering fried chicken and cigarettes to the park. And Ricky (Robb Wells) has moved into a suburban house where he’s also growing weed. When the feds announce a move to legalize marijuana, he starts on a quest to stop it, obviously. Tandem quests by Julian (pee delivery) and Bubbles (his dead parents left him land in Ontario) merge into one, trailed by Lahey (John Dunsworth) and Randy (Pat Roach), who end up in some cocaine shenanigans. There are some funny physical comedy bits—Wells is the best at them—but nothing especially riotous ever happens, and Haligonians will notice the city standing in for everything but Parliament Hill. The Trailer Park Boys franchise has always been for fans only. Don’t Legalize It is no exception.
