10,000 Days

10,000 Days
Patience is a virtue, so be prepared to buckle yourself in for one hell of a ride, five years coming. Tool has never been one to take the route of convention, a band that prefers to give credit to its audience by sonically challenging it at every turn, and 10,000 Days is no different. The ambient portions of the disc may seem like filler the first time through, but that second listen is where the album begins to reveal itself. 10,000 Days is not built on singles, it’s a fully realized concept album where Maynard’s snarling delivery drips with taut intensity while enshrouded deep within the mix of highly skilled instrumentation. Be patient after you’ve pressed play and you will be richly rewarded.
