Re: “How secure is internet voting?

With the lack of security (and misunderstood by its users) Facebook is an easy guess to get many Birthdates of unknown people. A simple search of an Email address or a creative search in Google may also generate that information. Or perhaps, it might even be known! But, to think that the DOB provides security to the Electronic voting is a bit of a stretch. If the people sending out the voter notices make mistakes, and we entrust them with the voting and DOB details, God help us. The Motor Vehicle branch shares personal information with WarAmps *a good organization, but many are not aware until every member of the family with a driver's license is contacted*, so how many other sources do we have? Doctor waiting areas are a good place, where quality control starts by leading questions like: Are you Helen Doehler? Do you still live at? You could obtain credit cards with the information you *accidentally* hear because of lax procedures in areas where we entrust that information.
