Tokyo Roll opens on Argyle Street

Suzuki Sushi's original owners bring something new to the table

The Suzuki family is back in the sushi game after selling Dresden Row’s Suzuki Sushi just about two years ago. Tokyo Roll has opened its doors at 1598 Argyle Street (next to World Tea House), serving up basic rolls, fusion rolls, bento boxes and teriyaki.

“We always wanted to keep the restaurant, just the hours were a little tough. We have kids now,” says Yoshi Suzuki, who runs the new spot with his wife. “It’s the same quality of food as the restaurant had, but so more people can enjoy it’s more affordable.” The downsized, downpriced menu makes the spot ideal for downtown lunch, says Suzuki. Check out Tokyo Roll now, and celebrate its grand opening November 19.
