Toast the new year in the North End

Dog Day, The Cold Warps, Bloodhouse and Quivers countdown at Gus'.

Dog Day, The Cold Warps,

Bloodhouse, Quivers

It is generally assumed by most people that New Year's Eve is the most overrated holiday of the year. For those of us not interested in going to a local club and hearing "California Gurls" pound out on the subwoofer for the millionth time, Dog Day and friends will be hosting a New Year's party with all your favourite north end mainstays at Gus' Pub. The show offers one of your last chances to see Dog Day for the rest of the winter as the band finds itself busy with work on a new short film and an upcoming residency in LA followed by gigs at SXSW. This is your chance to ring in the new year with Halifax's most promising indie rock bands for 2011.

Gus' Pub, 2605 Agricola Street, 9pm, $10
