The Unintended
(Blue Fog)
The Unintended’s debut disc sounds like snippets from a six-day jam, which is both a blessing and a curse. The self-titled album works best when the Canadian super group—featuring members of Elevator, The Sadies and Blue Rodeo—adds bong-fuelled psychedelia to simply crafted songs such as “Stay Calm” and “The Truth.” The band crosses the line between spontaneity and self-indulgence, however, with meandering blues tracks “The Collapse” and “So Long Goodbye.”
