World Container
Since its release on October 17, World Container has been pouring out of speakers from coast to coast. This is the first Hip release in quite some time to truly resonate with that trademark Hip sound. World Container finds itself firmly embedded in classic Hip territory from the opening strains of the opener “Yer Not the Ocean” through “The Drop-Off” (the new “100th Meridian”) to the subdued title track that closes it out. It may have taken the outside influence of renowned producer Bob Rock to put Gord, Robbie, Johnny, Paul and Gord back on track, but for the first time in a long time the guys in the Hip sound like they’re genuinely having fun.
