The Texas Chain Saw Massacre: Ultimate Edition

Tobe Hooper

The Texas Chain Saw Massacre: Ultimate Edition
Directed by: Tobe Hooper
(Dark Sky)
This is the true beginning and end of The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (OK, I’ll grant you the first sequel if you insist). The world-gone-mad tension of Tobe Hooper’s original classic is in direct opposition to the gruesome Christian guilt of the new remakes, which invite viewers to cheer the punishment of flesh. The film transferring mishap on the past release is corrected, and the two feature-length documentaries are about as ultimate as it gets.
