By popular demand, a second encore presentation of Puccini's "Madama Butterfly" will be shown in select theatres on Thursday, March 19, 2009, at 1 p.m. in all time zones. Please note: not all theatres showing the live transmission will participate in an encore showing. Cristina Gallardo-Domâs, the original Butterfly of the production when it opened the 2006-07 Met season, returns to the title role of the late Anthony Minghella's stunning production, a classic of the new Met repertory. Marcello Giordani stars as Pinkerton. Patrick Summers conducts.
