This summer, enjoy select encore performances from the award-winning series The Met: Live in HD. "I think Don Carlo is the quintessential Verdi opera," says Director Nicholas Hytner, who made his Met debut with this production of the composer's epic drama of love and politics. Yannick Nézet-Séguin conducts Roberto Alagna in the title role, and Ferruccio Furlanetto, Marina Poplavskaya, Anna Smirnova, and Simon Keenlyside also star. This performance was originally transmitted live on December 11, 2010.
