Through the Canadian Forces Artists Program three “embedded” artists: Dick Averns (Middle East, 2009), Nichola Feldman-Kiss (Sudan, 2011) and Adrian Stimson (Afghanistan, 2010) created work in lens-based media (photography and video) and sculpture to explore the relationship between culture and conflict.
