Take flight with the Halifax Crafters

Beautiful things abound as over 70 crafters get together for the Spring Flight fair.

So much to choose from, so little time.
So much to choose from, so little time.

Still need a gift for Mom? Or maybe you just need to pick up something for yourself? (Spring cleaning can lead to spring shopping, you know.) Either way, it's time to check out the latest offerings of Halifax's top-notch crafters. The Halifax Crafters Society, which boasts at least 70 members, is holding Spring Flight, a spring market craft sale this weekend. Cute and small, but shockingly impressive glassware from Kyla Francis will be available, Yo Rodeo Poster Company will be there with its colourful designs, as well as Trudi Smith's Double Happiness Designs with her collection of Japanese-inspired handmade books. (Of course, that's just three out of 70, for those not paying attention.) Check out some homemade goods, grab a waffle from the Waffle Experience and take in the local craftsmanship.

Sat April 30-Sun May 1, 11am-6pm, Olympic Centre, 2304 Hunter Street, halifaxcrafters.ca
