Shotgun Jimmie is pretty pumped for this weekend. So pumped in fact, that he's been writing in honour of the occasion. "Opening for Joel Plaskett at the Seahorse...crazy epic situation. So I decided I should definitely try and write a song or two about it." Those lucky enough to have tickets for the show (Plaskett's Thursday, Friday and Saturday night gigs are sold out) will also be getting a sampling of Jimmie's upcoming album which he's been "thinking longingly about" as he awaits its release. Inspired by and written during two trips to Europe last spring and summer, Transistor Sister is scheduled to drop in March. "I have this really positive association with the new material...it's new and fresh and I associate it with the most exciting adventure I've ever been on."
Friday Dec 17, The Seahorse Tavern, 1665 Argyle St, SOLD OUT
