Success College: Showing you the world

The Travel and Tourism Management program lets Rebecca May share her love of travelling

Seeing the world is all that Rebecca May has wanted to do. And the Travel and Tourism Management program at Success College gave her exactly that. The program gave her the opportunity to travel, to see how the world around her works and to also hear things from the other side of the industry.

"I love finding people that perfect vacation spot for them, and it's great to hear about their experience upon their return," Rebecca says about listening to the stories of fellow travellers who have gone away and come back. Rebecca hears what her clients need to make it their best vacation, by familiarizing herself with tourist attractions, local weather and other must-see items for that spot.

But working in the travel and vacation industry is more than flying off and listening to glamorous stories. Success College taught Rebecca that finding a destination is a well-crafted art, filled with operating systems and other equations.

"The training was helpful, and I enjoyed learning about the different attractions and customs in each country," She says.

Success Collegee's Travel and Tourism program filled Rebecca in on the entire travel lingo, and the codes of countries and airports, which she uses every day at her job at Trip Central. Now, she gets to experience what its like from an agent's point of view instead of a traveller's.
